How Old Is the Universe?

Most of us know about the hypothesis that our Universe emerged as a result of the Big Bang.

However, not everyone remembers the answer to the question, how old is the Universe?

When did the Big Bang took place?

According to the scientists, the Solar System can be about 4.5 billion years old.

At the same time, the Big Bang is estimated to happen between 13 and 14 billion years ago.

In order to estimate how old the Universe is, the scientists used 2 approaches.

The first estimation was made basing on the supposed age of the oldest stars.

The second way used by scientists was trying to estimate the parameters and the rate of expansion of our Universe.
