A Japanese rapper, singer, dancer, and songwriter, Asa Enami, known professionally as Asa, is as a member of the K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER. She was born in 2006, in Tokyo and developed love for performing at a young age. She attended dance school, where she specialized in hip-hop dance. Before entering the K-pop industry, she also appeared in musical theater productions in Japan.

Asa successfully auditioned in Japan and joined YG Entertainment as a trainee, spending several years developing her skills in rap, dance and songwriting.
