How old is Gavin Newsom?

Gavin Newsom is an American politician and democrat known as the 40th Governor of California and the former mayor of LA. Born in 1967 in San Fransisco, he grew up in a very rich and influential family of a state court judge. He received his education in a French-American Catholic school, Redwood high school, and Santa Clara University where he majored in political science. In the 1990s he made his career as a businessman in real estate business, and in 1996 he made up his mind to start a political career and entered some small municipal political campaign. He was elected the Mayor of San Francisco in 2003 and served for two terms. In 2010 he joined the campaign for the lieutenant governor of California, which is the second executive officer in the state, and won. In 2018, after the second term in the office, Newsom ran for the Governor position, and managed to win. Despite criticism of his activities during the covid 19 pandemics (he was the one to launch a strict lockdown in the state), he was the candidate to win 2022 elections of the governor. As the governor of one of the largest and the most populated state of the country, during his terms Gavin Newsom had to face plenty of issues including wildfires and climate change issues, post-pandemic unemployment and other issues, gun control issues, abortion rights related issues, immigrant issues and mid 2025 protests, ethnic conflicts, and many more. He was married twice and has 4 children.
