Kimora Lee Simmons is a model, designer, television personality, and business lady who used to be one of the key models working with Chanel, Valentino, and plenty of other fashion companies. She was born in St Louis and spent her childhood feeling very different from her peers due to her being extremely tall and having multi ethnic backgrounds. Her mum encouraged Kimora to join a modeling course, and there she was discovered and invited to take part in her first projects as a young teenage model. She signed up her first contract with Chanel when she was 13 and in the late 1980s and 1990s she walked for a great number of companies. Closer to the end of the decade she got rather interested in designing and launched her own clothing lines for women and children. She successfully collaborated with a number of famous designers like Karl Langerfield and others. In the 2000s she began to get involved in various television and media projects, appeared in some musical videos and wrote a book. Kimora Lee Simmons was married two times and has 5 children.
