Mo'Nique or Monique Angela Hicks is a lovely American actress and comedian. She was born in 1967 in Maryland and grew up in a large family of 4 children. Her childhood was very difficult. After graduating from the university Monique began working in a company but soon she was noticed by a Baltimore Comedy Outlet scout and was invited there together with her brother. In 1999 she was invited to take part in TV series The Parkers, and her other notable roles in TV series include the ones in Flavor of Love Girls, Bessie, as well as a host of her own The Mo'Nique Show. The most notable roles in the movies can be considered the ones in Phat Girlz, Welcome Home Roscoe Jerkins, and especially in Precious which brought her a number of awards and nominations. Mo'Nique has won a Grammy Award with a group of comedians for the Best Comedy Album.
