Alex G is an American singer, songwriter, and composer who can be easily recognized by his distinctive indie sound. Born Alexander Giannascoli in 1993 in the USA, he grew up in Havertown alongside his siblings in a very supportive family. As a young teenager he taught himself to play the guitar and then began to write his own songs, which turned out to be quite great and loved by other people so Alex could dream about a professional career in music. He recorded two amateur albums in the late 2000s, with the help from his friends, and went on to perform at local cafés and small venues, gaining valuable experience as a live musician.

In the early 2010s Alex G released his first professional EP, marking the proper start of his way in the world of music. Shortly after he signed with a record label and released his debut studio album titled DSU, which brought him critical acclaim.
