Greta Gerwig is an actress and movie director famous for a few roles of hers including the ones in Greenberg, Nights and Weekends, etc. She was born in 1983 in California and grew up in the city of Sacramento, alongside her parents and her two siblings. Greta has been very close to her family all of her life. As a child, Greta had a very interesting hobby, competitive fencing, and dreamed about succeeding in that field. However, after finishing high school she wanted to study drama and music, but ended up studying philosophy and English language. In anyway, her idea of becoming famous came true and Gerwig managed achieve some great success in acting. Her debut as an actress took place in the late 2000s when she appeared in the movies like Nights and Weekends, Hannah Takes the Stairs, and Greenberg where she starred alongside Ben Stiller. During shooting the latter she met Noah Baumbach who later on became her partner and the father of her two children. Later on Greta Gerwig appeared in the movies Frances Ha, Mistress America, Maggie's Plan, Isle of Dogs, etc. In the late 2010s she debuted as a movie director by making a number of movies including Lady Bird, Little Women, and others.
