A charismatic and acclaimed American actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who comes from a well-known film family. He is the son of director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner. Born Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal, he was introduced to acting at an early age. Jake began his career as a teenager, appearing in several of his father’s projects, including City Slickers and A Dangerous Woman, which helped him gain early on-set experience and confidence. 

He got his first big break playing the lead role in October Sky, for which he received critical acclaim for his strong and emotional performance.
