Jeff Bridges is an American actor, singer, producer, and songwriter known for his long and versatile career in film and music. He was born in 1949 in California into a family deeply connected to the entertainment industry: his father, Lloyd Bridges, was a popular television actor, his mother Dorothy was an actress, and his elder brother Beau Bridges, also became a successful performer. After finishing school, Jeff moved to New York to study acting and occasionally appeared in his father’s TV projects, including The Lloyd Bridges Show.

His cinema career started in 1970s, with his roles in The Last Picture Show, Bad Company, The Last American Hero, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (with Clint Eastwood), Hearts of the West, and King Kong.
