How old is Mark Carney?

Mark Carney is the current Prime Minister of Canada, as well as a politician and economist, the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. Born in 1965 in Northwest Territories, he grew up in the city of Edmonton, alongside his parents and his three siblings. He studied at Harvard and Oxford universities in the late 1980s and the early 1990s, and received the MPhil and DPhil in economics. He started his career at one of the banks of the Goldman Sachs Group and continued at the Bank of Canada and the Department of Finance Canada. From 2008 till 2013 Carney served as the Governor of the Bank Canada and was responsible for all monetary and financial policies of the country on the post-crisis field. Later in the decade he held a position of the 120th Governor of the Bank of England, with a lot of turbulence during the Brexit times. In the early 2020s Carney left the governmental sector and was occupying a few very high positions in the world's most successful business organization. In 2024 he was appointed one of the advisers of Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Liberal Party, and in the early 2025, following Trudeau's resignation, Carney took over the the leadership after winning the elections in March of that year. He was sworn in as the 24th Prime Minister of the country and enjoyed plenty of positive expectations and hopes as a very successful technocratic and liberal specialist. Mark Carney is married to Diana Fox, an economist too, and they have 4 daughters. Since his childhood he has been a huge fan of ice hockey and in the years of his youth he used to play it.
