Scott Hoying is an American singer, songwriter, and producer best known as one of the founding members of the a cappella group Pentatonix. He was born in 1991 in Texas and developed a deep love for music and singing from a young age. During his childhood, he often sang with his close friend Mitch Grassi, who would later join him in forming Pentatonix.

In the early 2010s, the two friends co-founded Pentatonix along with three other members. The group quickly gained international recognition for its exceptional vocal harmonies and creative arrangements, releasing hit songs such as "Can’t Sleep Love", "Hallelujah", "Mary", "Did You Know?", and "The Sound of Silence".
