How old is Sun Yang?

Sun Yang is a Chinese swimmer and the first Chinese sportsman to win the Olympic gold medal in swimming. He was born in 1991 and started demonstrating his love for swimming since he was 4 years old. In 2006 he became a member of Chinese National team and showed himself in 2007 World Championship in Melbourne. In 2008, in the Olympic Games in Beijing, the 17-years old Sun became 8th in 1500 meters freestyle, which was a great success. A year later he won the bronze medal in International Swimming Tournament in Italy. In 2010 Asian Games he managed to win and became the second fastest swimmer for 1500 in the history. The year 2011 became one of the best years in his career when Sun managed to become the World Champion and break the world record for 1500 freestyle. Sun was a star of 2012 Olympic Games winning two golds and a silver. However, two years later he became a subject of doping scandal which resulted in a three-month suspension but did not become an obstacle for Sun to win gold medals in Asian Games in 2014. However, since 2016, Yang has been facing the presence of serious competitors, as well as some social media pressure. Sun Yang is very respected and loved in his homeland, especially for breaking Asian and World records. Yang is 2 meters tall and is a true fan of sports, apart from swimming he plays volleyball, like his father.
