How old is Vladimir Kramnik?

Vladimir Kramnik is a Russian grandmaster and chess player who was the World Champion from 2000 to 2006. He was born in 1975 in southern Russia and learned to play chess as a child. He attended Botvinnik Chess school and his first international success came to him in the early 1990s when Kramnik began representing Russian national chess team in one of the international competitions. During the late 1990s, Kramnik competed with one more Russian chess player Garry Kasparov who was the World Champion in those times. The 2000s became the most successful period of Kramnik's career when he was the No 1 chess player of the world. In 2007 he lost the title to Viswanathan Anand. Vladimir Kramnik continued taking part in various international competitions, and currently, his rating is No 7. He is married to a French journalist and the couple has two children.
