BIA, born Bianca Miquela Landrau on August 16, 1991, in Medford, Massachusetts, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter known for her bold style and powerful lyrics. Of Puerto Rican and Italian descent, she began her music journey by attending studio sessions and bartending to fund her passion. Her big break came in 2014 when she appeared on the Oxygen reality series Sisterhood of Hip Hop and signed with Pharrell’s I Am Other label.

In 2016, BIA featured on J Balvin’s hit “Safari,” and in 2019, she gained widespread attention with “Best on Earth” alongside Russ. Her 2020 EP For Certain featured the viral track “Whole Lotta Money,” which was later remixed with Nicki Minaj and charted in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.
