Brent Faiyaz is a hip hop superstar, a member of the duo Sonder, and the mastermind behind hits like "Wasting Time", "Dead Man Walking", "Gravity", and "Prince of Fame". Born Christopher Brent Wood in 1995 in Maryland, he discovered his love for music at just six years old when he got his first keyboard. Growing up, he spent hours listening to R&B and hip hop, dreaming of a music career — even though his parents didn’t fully support it.

After finishing school, Brent moved to Los Angeles to follow his dream. Between 2014 and 2016, he released his first singles, including Allure, on SoundCloud, and in late 2016 he launched his debut EP, A.M. Paradox. Later, he joined Sonder, released his first solo album, and started dating model Zahra Davis. His second solo album came out in 2022, and he opened his own recording studio in 2023.
