Carmelo Anthony is a successful and popular former basketball player who rose to fame as a power guard of a number of teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Knicks, the Houston Rockets, and others. He was born Carmelo Kyam Anthony in 1984 in New York City and spent his early childhood in Brooklyn, and then in Baltimore, alongside his family. He made his first steps in the field of basketball when he was a student of Towson Catholic High Scool and followed his ambitions to make a career as a professional basketball player in Syracuse University college. In 2003 he was grafted by the Denver Nuggets and in the very first season he helped the team to reach the playoffs. After spending 8 seasons in Denver Anthony was sent to the New York Knicks where in the mid 2010s he made his persona point record by scoring 62 points in a game against the Charlotte Bobcats. Later in the decade he spent one season in the Oklahoma City Thunder and one season in the Houston Rockets. In 2019 he became a part of the Portland Train Blazers team where he spent two really successful years. He finished his professional career in 2022 as a player of the Los Angeles Lakers. He was one of the notable players of the national team and took part in the competitions of the Olympic Games during the 2000s and 2020s. Carmelo Anthony was married to a star DJ Alani La La Anthony and the couple has a son Kiyan Carmelo Anthony.
