Edie Falco is an American actress of Italian origins who became famous for her roles in a few TV series and movies, including the iconic series The Sopranos. Born in 1963 in New York City, she spent her childhood in different parts of the city and was raised alongside her three siblings. Both her immediate and extended family had to do with music and arts. He father was a jazz band drummer and her uncle was a playwright. Edie has been acting on stage since she was 4, and her professional debut took place in the early 1990s, when she appeared in a few episodes of Law&Order, New York Undercover and Homicide: On The Streets. Her early movies included Laws of Gravity, The Addiction, Cop Land, etc., and her later movies included Judy Berlin, The Girl From Monday, Freedomland (with Samuel L Jackson and Julianne Moore), Gods Behaving Badly, The Comedian (with Robert De Niro and Danny DeVito).
