Eric Clapton is one of the most famous and influential blues and rock guitarists who recorded a large number of songs and is one of the most awarded musicians of all times. He was born in 1945 in Surrey and was brought up by his grandma. He studies in the Kingston College of Art but could not finish it since he started being noticed as a promising and very talented guitar player. In 1963 18-year-old Clapton became a member of "The Yardbirds" but played with them only for 2 years, after which he became a member of "The Cream" band. Those were the times of the Beatlemania and plenty of bands were formed looking for the same kind of fame. "The Cream" was a great band to develop as a unique musician and guitarist, so after the disbandment, Clapton created his own band and recorded over 20 great solo albums. His most famous songs are "After Midnight", "Wonderful Tonight", "Tears in Heaven", "Let It Rain", and many more. Clapton recorded a number of songs with his friends like George Harrison "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", Sting "It's Probably Me", Elton John "Runaway Train", and many more. Eric Clapton has won 18 Grammy awards, he is a CBE given to him for his large contribution in British music, and he is also the only musician who has been inducted to the Hall of Fame 3 times.
