Halsey, or Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, is an American musician, singer, and actress. She was born in 1994 in New Jersey and started being interested in music since her early childhood. She learned to play guitar, violin, cello, and other strings instruments when she was a teenager, and she loved taking part in the performances of the high school theater. When she was 17, Ashley changed her name for Halsey, which is an anagram for her own name, and started recording and promoting her songs in social networks like Tumblr and YouTube. In 2014 she signed up with a recording company and released her first EP which was supported by her tours with quite popular musicians like Imagine Dragons and others. Her first studio album came out in 2015 and received very warm critics. It even became platinum and a few singles of it raised to the high lines of Billboard charts. So did the second studio album, with its hit "So Bad at Love" which became the first song of Halsey to rise to the top 5 of Billboard.
