J.Y. Park, also known as Park Jin-young, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, producer, performer, and entrepreneur, widely recognized for his contributions to K-pop and the global music industry. He was born in 1971 in Seoul but spent much of his later childhood in the United States, where his father worked. As a teenager, he returned to South Korea with his mother to continue his education, taking courses in music and composition.

Park began his career as a member of the pop trio The New Generation, writing several hit songs, including Don’t Leave Me. In 1994, he released his debut solo album, Blue City, and went on to produce two more successful pop albums. In the early 2000s, he established his own record studio and collaborated with notable artists, including Will Smith and others.
