Jim Morrisson was a prominent American singer, songwriter, poet, musician and the frontman of the band The Doors. He was born in 1943 in Florida, and his parents were of European origins. He spent most of his childhood in San Diego, alongside his two younger siblings. Since his childhood Jim was extremely interested in literature and poetry, he began writing his own songs when he was in high school. In the mid-1960s he moved to LA to study at the University of California. There he met Ray Manzarek, one of the co-founders of Doors. With the band, Morrisson lived overwhelming success, recorded 6 studio albums and took part in a large number of concerts and tours. He wrote most of the songs for the band, as well as a large number of poems. He is named one of the most influential and the most iconic musicians of all times.
