Kevin Olusola is a talented American musician, beatboxer, and singer best known as a member of the Grammy Award–winning a cappella group Pentatonix. He was born in 1988 in Kentucky to Nigerian parents, both of whom worked in medicine. Though Kevin once planned to become a doctor and studied at Yale University, his passion for music ultimately led him down a different path.

A gifted instrumentalist since childhood, Kevin learned to play both the piano and cello and even performed solo at Carnegie Hall when he was just 17. During his college years, he became known for his unique fusion of cello playing and beatboxing, a style he later called “cello-boxing.”
