She was born Alani Nicole Vazquez in 1982 in New York City to the parents of Puerto Rican origins and grew up in Brooklyn. She is the oldest of the four children of her parents and was a very outgoing and active child. In the late 1990s she started working at one of the local radio stations and earned her first fame as a DJ. The early 2000s were marked for her by her first programs on MTV including the one titled Total Request Live followed by her work on TV as a host of such TV shows as Real Chance of Love, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and many others. In the early 2010s La La Anthony got involved in business, launched a few lines of clothes and cosmetics, as well as continued her work on TV by appearing in such shows as Single Ladies, Power, Unforgettable, and many others. In 2017 she got divorced and took part in filming a few videos including the famous "In My Feelings" by Drake.
