Mxmtoon is a pop singer and YouTuber known for a few interesting hits that she has recorded so far and her playing ukulele. Born Maia in 2000 in California she spent her early years in Oakland, alongside her brother Dylan and their parents. Her mother has Chinese roots and Maia spent her childhood in American Chinese community. She learned playing violin and cello before she turned 10 and started writing her own songs when she was a young teenager. She joined a school band as a lead vocalist and joined Instagram community under the name Mxmtoon which soon became her music name.
