Nas is a cool and charismatic hip hop star who has been in the business for almost 30 years. Born Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones in 1973 in New York City, he grew up in Brooklyn, alongside his father who is a successful jazz player. Thus, music has been in the life of Nas since the early years. When Nas was a child, his family moved to Queens where he met a few really great hip hop singers, thus as a teenager he decided to dedicate himself to rap. His first nicknamed were Kid Wave and Nasty Nas. In 1991 he released his first single, and 1994 Nas released his first album which attracted a lot of public attention. It is still considered to be among the most successful debut albums of a hip hop singer of all times. In the early 2000s he got involved in a public quarrel with Ray Z, and this feud lasted for some really long time.
