How old is Rory McIlroy?

Known as a young golf player who managed to move Tiger Woods from the first line of the Official World Golf Ranking for more than 3 months, Rory McIlroy is a successful and famous Irish sportsman. Born in 1989 in Belfast, he started showing his interest in golf at an extremely early age, and his father Gerry used to take him to his training sessions. Young Rory was a huge fan of Nick Faldo and was learning not only by practicing but also by watching the videos of Faldo. McIlroy celebrated his first serious victory when he was 10 years old and joined an international championship in Miami. He joined Hollywood Golf Club and continued training under the supervision of Michael Bannon. When Rory was 17 years old, he managed to win a good number of amateur tournaments and even rose to the top line of the World Golf Ranking. Since then he has been playing as a professional golfer. He has won plenty of European and Asian tournaments, as well as became a winner of the world's most prestigious tournaments like US Open, PGA Championship, and the Open. Rory is the owner of Vardon Trophy, Byron Nelson Award, Mark H. Mccormack Award, and many others. He is the youngest golf player in history who managed to reach the total professional earnings of 10 million Euro. He has plenty of both individual and team achievements, and in 2012 he was honored to become the Member of the British Empire, for his significant achievements in sports. In his free time, Rory Mcllroy plays rugby and supports his favorite soccer club, Manchester United. He used to date a famous tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, but they broke up and in 2017 he got married to Erica Stoll, who worked in PGA.
