Taylor Momsen is an American singer, musician, actress, and model. She was born in 1993 in Missouri to a family of Russian descent and grew up alongside her younger sister, Sloane, who also became an actress. Taylor began studying modeling and the arts at the age of two, when her parents enrolled her in a modeling school. By 1997 she was appearing in commercials, and at just seven years old she gained recognition for her role in How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), starring alongside Jim Carrey.
