Tory Lanez is a rapper and hip hop singer, songwriter and record producer from Canada known for a few of his hits. He was born Daystar Shamuel Shua Peterson in 1992 in Ontario, to the family of Bajan origins. He spent some of his childhood in Montreal and later on moved with his family to Florida where he started getting seriously interested in hip hop and free-styling. He started his professional career as a rapper in the late 2000s and the early 2010s when he made his first recordings using his name Tory Lanez. In the middle of the decade, after recording a few EPs, he established his first recording company and began also producing young hip hop singers. Closer to the end of the 2010s his first studio album came out and so far he has released 6 of them. His most famous hits include "Say It" and "LUV", the latter has brought his a nomination for Grammy Award. As of the early 2023 Tory Lanez continues recording his hits and collaborating with other famous rappers like Megan Thee Stallion, etc.
