His real name is Kang Eu-geon and he was born in 1996 in Busan, South Korea, where he spent his childhood alongside his family and close friends. Daniel demonstrated a strong interest in music and dance as a child, taking lessons and training seriously as a teenager.

He appeared on national television talent competitions in the mid 2010s, where his charisma and skill quickly caught attention.
