Jimi Hendrix was an outstanding American musician, guitarist, singer, and songwriter, who is still considered to be one of the most influential and talented guitarists of all times. He was born as Johnny Allen Hendrix in 1942 in Seattle and started getting interested in playing guitar in his early teen ages. After serving in the American army, Hendrix settled in Clarksville and joined the band named "The Isley Brothers" which whom he played for a few years before moving to the UK in the mid-1960s. He managed to earn extreme popularity in British musical circles with his innovative style of playing guitar and interesting music like the songs "Purple Haze", "Hey Joe" and others. Immediately his popularity spread to the US, where his two first studio albums "Are You Experienced" and "Axis: Bold as Love" recorded in 1967 hit the charts. The third and the last studio album of Hendrix, "Electric Ladyland" is considered to be the most successful of his. During the last year of his life, Hendrix took part in a number of very popular international music festivals like Woodstock and the Isle of Wight Festival. In September 1970 Jimi Hendrix was found dead in his hotel room in London as a result of asphyxia. His legacy and influence on the world of rock music are huge and it's impossible to underestimate its influence on the development of music of the late 20th century.
