Laufey is a multi talented person from Iceland. She is a jazz singer and songwriter, a cellist and record producer, famous for her personal style in music which can be called jazz inspired pop. Born in 1999 in Reykjavik, she grew up in a musical family since her mum is a classical violinist in a local orchestra. Laufrey has in identical twin who is also a musician and a manager of her. When she was only 15 years old, Laufey made a few striking performances with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and participated in Iceland's Got Talent and Iceland The Voice. Later on she studied as Berklee College of Music and won the President's Scholarship. In 2021 she released her debut EP titled Typical of Me. Next year her first studio album named Everything I Know About Love came out followed by the second album of 2023.
