Michael Keaton is a known American actor, producer, and movie director, famous for his role in an old version of Batman movie. He was born as Michael John Douglas in Pennsylvania. He started his professional career as an actor in 1975 by taking part in a few TV programs for kids. In order not to be confused with another famous actor, Michael Douglas, he changed his name to Michael Keaton. The late 1970s and the early 1980s were marked by a few roles in TV series like Mary, Maude, and Family, Report to Murphy, Keaton began appearing in cinema movies like Night Shift, Mr. Mom, Johnny Dangerously, and finally Beetlejuice (with Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, and Geena Davis), which brought real fame to the actor. The success was followed by two remarkable movies, Batman and Batman Returns, where he played the main role and demonstrated his great talent as an actor, teamed up with Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Other notable works of Keaton include Pacific Heights, My Life (with Nicole Kidman), The Paper, Jackie Brown (with Samuel L Jackson), First Daughter (with Katie Holmes), The Other Guys, Birdman (with Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, and Edward Norton), and Spotlight, for which he got the Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award nomination. Michael Keaton was married for a few years and has a son. He later on dated Courtney Cox.
