Rex Orange County is a British pop-singer and songwriter. Born Alexander James O'Connor in 1998, he spent his early years in a small village in the county of Surrey where he learned to sing, joined a local choir, started playing drums and later on learned to play piano. He began writing and recording his first songs in the early 2010s and in 2015 he recorded on his own his first solo album titled Bcos U Will Never B Free. A year later his new single "UNO" became really famous and successful on SoundCloud. Two more albums of his were released in 2017 and 2019, both had a number of hits and received really great critics. In the early 2022 he released one more studio album titled Who Cares? which remained the 1st in some British charts for a few weeks. Rex Orange County names Stevie Wonder and Freddie Mercury as his main inspiration in music. He is one of the most known multi-instrumentalists of the UK in modern times.
