A young American actor, Atticus Shaffer gained popularity for playing Brick Heck, the quirky, book-loving youngest child on ABC’s hit sitcom The Middle. He was born in 1998 in Santa Clarita, California, and began acting professionally as a child after meeting a talent manager. He quickly landed television, commercial, and film roles. Before his breakout, Shaffer appeared in The Class, Days of Our Lives, My Name Is Earl, and Hancock, then made his film debut in the horror thriller The Unborn in 2009.

His performance as Brick became his signature role, spanning all nine seasons of The Middle from 2009 to 2018.
