Lauryn Hill is a famous rapper, songwriter, and actress who rose to fame as one of The Fugees and is now considered to be among the most influential female rappers of all times. She was born in 1975 in New Jersey and spent her childhood in the family where great music was loved and appreciated. As a child she would listen to the songs of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and others. Lauryn began singing in some public events like basketball games when she was a high school student, and in the early 1990s she joined a few TV projects including a TV series As the World Turns. In 1990 she became a member of The Fugees and in the middle of the decade they lived a peak of their popularity by received two Grammy awards for their hits. In 1998 Hill released her debut solo album titled The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill which was a tremendous success and still remains among the most sold rap albums of all times. Lauryn Hill continued appearing on stage and TV in the early 2000s but later on got focused on her family and bringing up 5 children of hers, together with her husband Rohan Marley, one of the sons of Bob Marley. In the early 2020s she reminded of herself by releasing a few new hits which were received very very warmly by her fans.
