Martijn Gerard Garritsen is a Dutch DJ and producer, born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He started to play guitar at the age of 8 and decided to become a DJ after he saw Tiësto performing at the Olympic games in Athens in 2004. In 2012 his first songs were released and had some moderate success. He graduated from the production school, The Herman Brood Academy in 2013 and became famous after the release of his single titled "Animals". Until today he has collaborated with lots of famous musicians like Usher, Dua Lipa, Troye Sivan, Bebe Rexha etc. In DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs list, Garrix was named No.1 in 2016 and at the age of 20 became the youngest DJ who received the title. In 2017 Martin Garrix regained his title and became the winner of DJ Mag Top 100 DJs pool once again. He is the face of Armani Exchange and the resident DJ at club Hi Ibiza.
