Anne Frank was one of the world's most famous young diarists who is known for the only book she wrote titled The Diary of A Young Girl. Born Annelies Marie 'Anne' Frank in 1929 in Frankfurt, she grew up in a Jewish family and spent most of her childhood in the Netherlands. Her family moved there in the early 1930s when the raise of Nazi Germany began. Together with her elder sister Margot, Anne loved studying but both of the young girls suffered from the hardships of being immigrants and reaching to proper opportunities for education. In the early 1940s, when the Nazi forces had entered the Netherlands, the real difficult times for the family started. When Anna turned 13, she was presented with a notebook that she started using for her famous diary. In summer 1944 the family was arrested by the Nazi police and placed to a concentration camp. In November, Margot and Anne Frank were separated from their parents and taken to another camp where they both died in spring 1945, supposedly of typhus. Anne was only 15 years old. Frank's diary is considered to be one of the most profound and sensitive documents describing the terrible conditions of the life of Jewish people during the Nazi occupation. Anne was survived by her father who dedicated his life to popularizing the book and her daughter's life.
