Jesse Williams is an actor, producer and social activist famous for a few of his roles in TV series like Grey's Anatomy. Born in 1981 in Illinois, he spent his childhood in Chicago, alongside his parents (his mum of Swedish origins and his dad of African American origins) and his siblings. In his childhood Jesse and his brothers loved arts very much, so both of his brothers studied visual arts and Jesse himself studied acting and media arts. His debut as a professional actor took place in 2006 when he appeared in an episode of a cult TV series Law&Order. Later on he continued with one of the main roles in Beyond The Break TV series, and further he appeared in Grey's Anatomy where he played a lead role of Dr. Jackson Avery. Other notable roles on TV include the ones in TV series Seattle Grace: Message Of Hope and Station 19.
