Jim Parsons is a famous American TV and cinema actor who became very famous for portraying the lead character of Sheldon Cooper in The Big Band Theory TV series. Parsons was born in 1973 in Houston and grew up alongside his sister Julie Anna. He started appearing on stage since the age of 6 and was seriously thinking about becoming an actor. He started Drama and Arts in the University of Houston and was a very active young stage actor appearing on stages of many theaters and venues around the city. In 2001 he moved to New York and began taking part in numerous Off-Broadway plays and events. Parsons also appeared on TV and in various commercials. In 2006 he was invited to join the care for an ABC series The Big Bang Theory where he starred for 12 years alongside Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, and a bunch of other actors. The role of Sheldon Cooper brought Parsons a Golden Globe Award and 4 Emmy Awards. Parsons appeared in a few cinema movies like Visions, Hidden Figures, A Kid Like Jake (where he played the lead role), etc. He also delivered a lot of amazing performances on stage and has a few respectable theater awards. Jim Parsons is an openly gay and is married to Todd Spiewak, an art director.
