John Deacon is a British musician, a bass player, and a member of the Queen band, alongside with Freddie Mercury, Brian May, and Roger Taylor. He was born in 1951 in Leicestershire and started playing bass in the band named The Opposition before joining Queen in 1971. Deacon is known as the quietest member of the band, who was also a creator of a special Deacy Amp used by the band's guitarist Brian May. Deacon is also the author of a few very popular hits of the band including "Another One Bites the Dust", "You're My Best Friend", "I Want To Break Free", "Spread Your Wings", and others. In addition to playing bass, he also contributed to the band's performances with playing piano, rhythm guitar, and vocals. He also played bass on the recording of Freddie "How Can I Go On". Upon the death of Freddie in 1991, Deacon took part in a very few events together with the rest of the band and completely retired from music after recording the final single "No One But You" in 1997.
