Roger Taylor is a known British drummer, musician, songwriter, and a member of Queen. He was born in 1949 in Norfolk and grew up in Cornwall. Inspired by Mitch Mitchell from Jimi Hendrix band, Roger started learning playing drums and guitar. He studied medicine and biology, at the same time being the drummer for a band Smile. There, he met Brian May and Freddie Mercury, who shortly after became his bandmates in the band Queen. Together with the band, Taylor walked the path from a college band to the world scale musical legend, and he contributed with his drumming, singing, and songwriting ("A Kind of Magic", "Radio Ga Ga", "The Invisible Man", "Breakthru", and many more). While being the member of Queen, Taylor formed his own band named The Cross, with which he recorded a few excellent solo albums as a songwriter and a guitarist. He also collaborated with a large number of famous musicians like Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Roger Daltrey, Roger Waters, Paul Rogers, and many more. Taylor is known for his unique drumming style and very distinctive voice, with special falsetto range. He is crazy about racing and owns a few racing cars.
