How old is Kamala Harris?

Kamala Harris is a politician and a Vice President who became the first female and the first African American Vice President in the history of the US. She was born in 1964 in California and was brought up by her mother of Indian origins and her dad of Jamaican origins. Kamala spent her childhood in Berkeley, alongside her sister. She graduated from Howard University and later on she attended a college in the University of California and studied law there. She started her career in the early 1990s as the deputy of a district attorney and then as the city attorney. In the late 2000s she was elected the General Attorney of the State of California, and in 2017 she became a Senator from California. As a member of the Senate, she advocated for various health care related reforms as well as some reforms related to tax paying and immigration policies. In 2020 she started collaborating with the team of Joe Biden during his presidential campaign and was chosen by him as his runner-up. After winning the elections, Biden appointed Kamala Harris the Vice President of the United States. She has been working as the VP since January 2021. She is married but doesn't have children of her own and is stepmother to the children of her husband, an attorney Doug Emhoff.
