How old is Keegan-Michael Key?

A successful actor, comedian, writer, and producer, Keegan-Michael Key is one of the greatest in sketch comedy of the modern era. He was born in 1971 in Michigan and was adopted as a baby by a social worker couple from Detroit, where he was raised. Of course, growing up in a biracial family influenced his style of comedy immensely and later became a major topic of many of his sketches and performances. He studied theater at the University of Detroit Mercy and earned a master’s degree at Pennsylvania State University before beginning his career in improv comedy.

Key became more widely known as a cast member on MADtv  from 2004 to 2009. He later found international acclaim with Jordan Peele on the hit Comedy Central sketch series Key & Peele, creating memorable sketches such as “Substitute Teacher” and Luther, President Obama’s “anger translator.”  Beyond sketch comedy, Key has appeared in projects including Parks and Recreation, Fargo, Wonka, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Schmigadoon!. He has also given his voice to characters in Toy Story 4, The Lion King, and the Hotel Transylvania films. With his expressive acting style and versatility, Keegan-Michael Key remains one of the most recognizable comedians in modern entertainment.
