Lucy Liu is an acclaimed American actress, filmmaker, and visual artist celebrated for her versatility and dynamic performances in film and television. Born in 1968 and raised in Queens, New York, she is the daughter of Chinese immigrants and grew up speaking both Mandarin and English. As a child, Lucy developed an interest in martial arts, a skill that would later enhance her action roles.
