Matthew Morrison is an American actor and singer known for his work in film, television, and music, as well as for releasing three studio albums. He was born in California in 1978 and developed an interest in acting and dance early in life. After finishing high school, he moved to New York to study at a university School of Fine Arts while performing on small stages and auditioning for various roles.

In the early 2000s, he made his Broadway debut and earned notable award nominations for his performances in several musicals. His first on-screen appearances included small roles in Bollywood Calling, Marci X, Once Upon a Mattress, and others. Morrison also appeared in episodes of Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, and The Cleveland Show. From 2009 to 2015, he played a recurring role in the popular TV series Glee.
