Paul McCartney (Sir James Paul McCartney) is a British singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, one of the most influential, talented and successful British musicians and songwriters of all times. He is most known for his striking musical career as one of the members of The Beatles, together with John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. McCartney was born in 1942 in Liverpool and grew up being exposed to a large amount of various music as his father was a big fan of it. In the summer of 1956, Paul met John Lennon, and that's how one of the best known, significant for the music world and prolific songwriting partnerships was created. Together, they wrote about 180 songs with most of them achieving worldwide popularity and bringing the duo a lot of money. He is a vegetarian and an avid social right activist. He has won 18 Grammy awards and was introduced to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice (as a member of The Beatles and as a solo artist).
