Suga is a famous musician, rapper, and produces from South Korea, known around the world as a member of a famous boy band The Bangtan Boys, or just BTS. He was born as Min Yoon-gi in 1993 in Daegu, where he grew up alongside his brother and attended school. He was a big fan of basketball. Suga started getting interested in music and rapping when he was a teenager. He listened to "Epik High" and other hip hop groups of Korea. After finishing school, Suga started working to make the ends meet, and whole of his free time he dedicated to composing and recording his songs. In 2013 he became one of the members of BTS and together with his band mates RM and J-Hope Suga received an extended training as a rapper. Together with the band Suga has recorded 9 studio albums so far, and as one of the rapper team, he usually joins Jungkook, Jin, V, and Jimin, for their performances and tours. In 2016 Suga started his own musical career by releasing his first mixtape Agust D recorded in collaboration with other rappers like Yankee, Suran, etc. His debut album titled Suga Agust D Tour came out in 2023. Suga is a philanthropist and, along with all other members of the band, he was awarded by the Order of Cultural Merit of South Korea.
