Robert Hunter Biden is an American lawyer, businessman, investor, and social activist, the second son of Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States. He was born in 1970 in Delaware and experienced a terrible family tragedy at a very early age, when a car accident took the lives of his mother and infant sister. Hunter and his older brother Beau survived and were raised in a supportive environment, often participating in volunteer and public service activities alongside their father.

In the mid-1990s, Hunter graduated from a law school and began his career as a lawyer. He used to work in various business and investment ventures until 2001, when he was appointed to the board of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation.
