Ariel Winter is an American television and cinema actress, whose breakout role in the hit sitcom Modern Family helped her to gain international fame and attention. Born in 1998 in Virginia, she spent her early years in Fairfax and was raised in a family of Greek and German heritage. She has got two older siblings, who also tried to pursue acting careers. Ariel started working as a professional actress when she was a child. She first appeared in commercials, like one for Cool Whip, and then moved on to TV and movie roles.

By 2005, she was already working on screen projects all the time, and she often voiced animated characters.
