Patrick Dempsey is an American actor and car racer famous for his role of McDreamy in Grey's Anatomy TV series. He was born in 1966, in his childhood he was extremely interested in juggling, attending a few competitions and international events related to juggling. He started his professional career on stage, by taking part in such plays as Brighton Beach Memories and Torch Song Trilogy. In 1985 his cinema debut took place, with a role in the movie Heaven Helps Us, followed by other movies like A Fighting Choice, In The Mood, Some Girls and Can't Buy Me Love. In 1989 he obtained the main role in the movie Loverboy and portrayed the main character in the movie Happy Together. The 1990s were marked mainly by small roles in various comedy and independent movies, but during 2000s and 2010s Dempsey starred in a variety of movies like Sweet Home Alabama, Freedom Writers, Enchanted, Made of Honor, Valentine's Day (with Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, etc.), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (with Shia LaBeouf), Flypaper, and others. He combined his acting career with being a professional car racer, taking part in a large number of professional competitions and championships. Patrick Dempsey was married to his hairstylist and they have 3 children, but in 2016 they got divorced. He is a philanthropist and a contributor to various cancer research related projects.
